The industrious Mandla Sibeko, founder of Seed Capital Ventures, with shareholding interests in some of South Africa’s most successful brands, including Netflorist, and shareholder and Director of South Africa’s biggest Art Fair, the FNB Joburg Art Fair, has just been named Wine Ambassador for South Africa’s most rapidly growing marketplace for fine wines: Port2Port.wine.
Sibeko, who became one of South Africa’s most celebrated young entrepreneurs in his mid-twenties when he opened one of the first Pick n Pay Stores in Soweto, was also responsible for the entire look and feel of the FIFA 2010 World Cup and in the same year Mandla was honoured by the World Economic Forum as Young Global Leader in 2010.
Today he is one of the country’s most respected businessmen.
Sibeko has a solid corporate base in retail, signage manufacturing and art, an affinity for South Africa’s small businesses, and a love for fine wine – a combination of interests which resulted in a natural gravitation towards Port2Port.wine, a new but vibrant addition to South Africa’s increasingly enthusiastic wine consumer landscape.
